Youth Club Lepoglava ensures to the youth a place for useful spending their free time, promotes informal learning and encourages youth participation in activities in local, national and international level.

Young people’s free time, that is, the time spend outside the system of formal education is often unorganized on which the state and local and regional government have little or no effect. Activities on organizing free time and creation of stimulative surrounding for inclusion of youth in life of community are in domain of civil society organizations and often depend on volunteer engagement of individual. Work with young people includes activities that provides them the opportunity for acquisition of new skills, knowledge and values, strengthening them in social sense and helps them to become active members of their communities. Youth club acts in local community and insures a place for socializing and education of young people, it encourages their participation in social procedures and contributes to integration of youth, promotes mobility and international cooperation.

Key tasks of Youth Club Lepoglava are: insuring useful spending of free time for youth; promotion of informal learning and gaining new skills and knowledge by implementing different programmes, projects and activities of informal learning; promotion of youth participation in organizations and initiatives that are in their interest; consulting youth about important issues for them; promotion of youth participation in activities, projects and programmes on local, regional, national and international level.

Listed tasks will be achieved through basic activities of the Club, and activities would include: living room/space for socializing, info-point, cyber lab, project office, promotion of mobility and international cooperation.

  • To insure more possibilities for youth to quality spend their free time
  • To promote acquiring knowledge and skills outside formal education (by implementing different programmes, projects and activities of informal education)
  • To improve social life and position of youth
  • Promotion of participation in youth associations and initiatives 
  • To give access to relevant information in accordance with their interests and requests
  • To encourage youth on active participation in society through different programmes on local, regional, national and international level
  • Raising awareness about importance and benefits of carrying out preventive and educative programmes aiming raising the quality of life for youth
