Period of project implementation: 01.03.2014. – 31.12.2014.

Budget: 24.000,00 Kn

With this project, we want to promote and pursue volunteerism, solidarity and responsibility for civil society, to encourage participants to be more active in the life of local community, to acquire new knowledge and experiences which will help them to increase their competitiveness on the labour market.

The programme will allow coordination of volunteers and those who require volunteers on data base principle which will be constantly updated. We want to influence promotion and development of volunteerism, solidarity and responsibility for civil society. Goals set in this project will be achieved by organizing different activities where as many people as possible will be familiarized with basic acts relevant for volunteering, but also involved in activities that require volunteering services. For achieving this, different activities will be organized, like lectures on basics of volunteering (Ethical Codex, Law on Volunteering, rights and obligations of volunteers, volunteer position in society), workshops with the aim of socializing, gathering and informal learning, volunteering actions (cleaning the environment, help for elderly, help in learning), meetings with volunteers from other centres aiming on sharing experiences, setting up data base of volunteers, setting up good cooperation with organizations and institutions that require volunteering services, inclusion of volunteers in the work of Red Cross.
With this project, people will be informed about volunteering which even today is not recognized in society. Doing good and helping other people without financial compensation is considered absurdly by some individuals. Implementation of activities will influence on humanity of people, number of volunteers and awareness of citizens will increase, and awareness of people for benefits of professional development will increase. Additionally, data base of volunteers will be set up with detailed profile which will allow coordination of volunteers when needed.
Private or legal entities and organizers of certain manifestations and events will be able to refer to volunteer office which will in its database find volunteers that can and are willing to do the job or service.
